The location is great, but the rest made this the worst stay of my travels across more than 30 countries, including a few youth hostels. The host was the worst we've dealt with on all those trips. There are 50 steep steps up to the unit. The light is on a timer, not motion activated, so it can go dark while you're climbing or coming down. Inside, the two creaky twin beds pushed together still have twin sheets and blankets. They'd be laughed at by homeless people, and couples won't find it cozy. Hot water runs out in just under four minutes, so expect cold showers. Towels are thin, and the TV is a 19-inch model from the 1990s. There's only one key, and you need it to get out of the room, so getting locked in means you can't leave. The location also brings noise until 1 a.m., followed by vendors cleaning their stores at 2 a.m. Luggage means dealing with 250 Old Town steps that aren't mentioned. If you risk staying here, coordinate with Dubrovnik Baggage&Smile. They were amazing and helped us get back to our car. The host recommended a parking garage that cost us just under $400 euros for three nights, more than anywhere I've encountered in the world. When I got lost trying to find it, he couldn't tell me its name or address, and it took another hour to locate.

The square can get a little loud in the morning while it's being set up for the farmers market, but it didn't bother us. We loved the apartment, right in the old town with an incredible view of the market square and ”walk of shame” stairs 🤩. It's clean, has everything you need, and the bed is comfortable. A/C works perfectly. Tonci was so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend it!

The host was friendly and left lovely welcome touches. The apartment was spotless, if a bit dated, with old-world style right down to the CRT TV. It has a large, firm double bed and nice views over a square. Bars and restaurants are close by, but it stays quiet at night, so sleeping was easy. The location is perfect, easy to find and reach with only two flights of stairs.

The location is amazing, and the host even helped us carry our luggage upstairs. The rooms were clean and nice, with free Wi-Fi and AC. The only downside for me was the firm bed. It didn't suit me at all.

It's a convenient base for exploring the Old Town, right by the main street, shops, and restaurants. Kozum grocery store is across the street. The apartment is clean and comfortable enough, with a roomy bathroom by local standards, plus a kitchen, fridge, and cooking utensils. Payment has to be in cash, in Euro or Kuna, since there's no card or online option. There's also just one set of keys, and you need a key to lock the door from inside, so plan carefully if you're traveling with others. I'd still recommend it if you want to explore and spend time in the Old Town. If you'd rather have easier access to both areas, I'd suggest staying just outside one of the Old Town gates.
