April was sunny and warm, which made walking around especially enjoyable. Dubrovnik City Center has plenty of history and lovely sights, and you can cover it on foot, either with a guide or by exploring at your own pace. There are lots of restaurants serving local food too. It does get packed with tourists, so going early might help you avoid some of the crowds. Prices are on the high side, which is what you'd expect in such a popular destination.

The walkways can look wet on the city's webcams, but from what I saw, tourists have simply polished them smooth. It's an interesting place with lots of history. There are many restaurants for different tastes. It gets busy when tour groups are around, so check the Dubrovnik cruise liner docking times and try to choose a quieter day or time.

I can't really explain it, I just want to live here! What a cute, beautiful city, even if it's expensive. It gets really humid and hot, though the evenings cool off. I wanted to wander those narrow streets and get lost. Exploring the little shops tucked along them is fun, and there are good options for lunch and dinner. Take a boat tour and go for a swim, it's a relaxing way to enjoy that beautiful sea. Bring or buy plenty of water. There are fountains at the entrance and at the end, if you can manage to stay thirsty until you find one ;)

There's so much to see here: beautiful churches, monasteries, museums, art galleries, interesting walls, lovely views, and lots of restaurants. I think it's one of Europe's most beautiful citadels. The restaurant food is very expensive, especially the drinks, and I don't think the quality makes up for the price.

It's impressive how well kept the place is, clean and tidy, though it gets a bit crowded when busy. There are lots of small souvenir shops and it's nice to walk around. Parking is impossible to find, so leave the car and go on foot.
