Monica was terrific. She shared useful information and suggestions for places to have an excellent meal. Our apartment was lovely, close to everything, and the kitchen was well stocked. There was a good-sized fridge and a small washing machine, with clotheslines outside the kitchen.

The location in the middle of a lively area means you may hear music and people talking late at night. The building’s very old floors also let you hear guests walking upstairs, so hopefully they don’t walk around too much late at night. A microwave would have been a nice addition, but it was fine without one. The accommodation was very good, and Monika was kind and helpful. It’s a great place to stay.

The room was fantastic, with lovely stone walls, air conditioning, a full kitchen, and even a washing machine. The hostess was wonderful. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the action. There’s nightlife noise, bells, and stairs, so it may not suit everyone, though we came to Europe for an authentic experience. I took off a star because tobacco smoke drifts in from a longtime resident downstairs. The owner knows about it and is working on the issue. Recommended.

It’s central and good, though a bit noisy. I wish there were outdoor seating or a terrace, but I don’t think that’s an option in much of the old city center.
