We were happy with the apartment: it was neat and clean, and there was free private parking right beside the house. The owner was friendly and ready to help. We also enjoyed having a table and chairs by the entrance so we could eat outdoors, though the mosquitoes were the usual nuisance. Without a car, the old town is quite a trek. We drove there and parked beside the walls, where it cost €6.60 an hour. We were pleased with our choice and really enjoyed visiting Druvobnik!

The promenade is just across the road, with its restaurants, bars, and lively atmosphere, and there’s a bus stop about a two-minute walk away for getting around the city. Shops, a bakery, and supermarkets right outside were handy too. The apartment worked perfectly for two and had everything we needed for an easy week. Andriana greeted us with wine, fruit, sweets, and biscuits, a lovely touch. She was quick to answer questions on WhatsApp and helped whenever we needed something. I’d happily stay here again if I return to Dubrovnik.

We arranged the booking about a month ahead and checked about parking first. He said it would be fine. Four days before we were due to arrive, he said parking wasn’t available because he had other reservations. I said I’d keep the booking, but on arrival day he canceled it, claiming the AC wasn’t working. There was no explanation beyond that and no alternative offered, so we were left without a room. A completely disastrous experience. I absolutely don’t recommend him.
