Guest House Amalija

The best part is the landlords, a wonderful mum and son. The place is nice, though a little dated, and has most of what you need. Our apartment had two shower rooms and toilets, which made getting ready much quicker. It’s close to shops and restaurants and to a beach with pebbles and super clear water. There is a steep hill, but that’s pretty normal in hilly Dubrovnik.

The apartment was lovely, really comfortable, and cleaned to a high standard. My studio had its own table and chairs on the terrace. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the area was beautiful and peaceful, just a few minutes’ walk from Sunset Beach and 6 other beaches. There are fantastic walking trails nearby with amazing views.

I felt right at home here and ended up extending my stay by one night because I liked it so much. The owners met me at the gate and showed me to my room, which had a comfortable bed and a great shower. There’s an incredible shared private patio full of flowers. It’s a 5 min walk to the beach, and a bus stop nearby goes straight to the city center. The staff were attentive and replied when I asked for recommendations. I loved the place!

The host gave us helpful information about the city, and we could chat easily in English. I’d recommend it.
