Guest House Luka

We arranged a time to meet the landlord and she was there when we arrived. She was helpful with tips and information about Old Town, and even let us leave our bags in the common room after the 10:00 checkout so we could collect them before our flight. The guest house has three floors, each with a separate room for rent, while the kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor are shared by all three rooms. Our room was in good condition, with working AC and a TV. It was a great place for the night, especially since we wanted two separate beds.

A lovely, clean and fresh room with a nice view in a really beautiful guest house. The hostess is friendly and happy to help you get to know the area. It's in Dubrovnik's Old Town, where King's Landing (Games of thrones) is filmed. Guest House Luka is a good option if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Dubrovnik.

I wouldn't recommend this place. My reservation said I would have a private room and bathroom, but that wasn't what I found when I arrived. I'd recently had an operation, so I paid extra specifically because I needed those private facilities. I also ended up taking three cold showers. The owner kept saying she'd fix the problem, then apologized when I raised both issues and promised to refund part of the money. She never did. The place is also a long way up in the Old Town, which makes coming and going hard without a backpack and for older people. I don't consider this fair or honest.

Even though the room is small, it's comfortable and a very nice place. The hostess was welcoming, and I'd recommend staying here in the old town. Just keep in mind there are lots of stairs, so it may not suit you if your knees are a problem.
