Guest House Prijeko

My favorite part of staying at Prijeko Palace was the signature cocktails. They were amazing, and I quickly found myself looking forward to them. The rooftop balcony was another highlight, with a breathtaking view. The room had a cozy feel, mixing classic charm with modern comforts, and the staff were warm and attentive from the moment I arrived. I felt welcome and well cared for. Thanks to Noon from Touch of Thai for the recommendation. I’m glad I chose Prijeko Palace, and I’d happily come back.

The waiter was super nice and deserves five stars. The dinner itself was nowhere near the fantastic five-star meal we expected, though. We ordered the roof top menu, with a starter, main and dessert, and chose pasta and steak as our mains. The steak was okay, but the pasta was so bad my wife didn’t eat it. We told the waiter, who came back saying the “Michelin cook” had forgotten to cook the pasta with salt, so it had basically no taste. Even so, they wanted to charge us for it. I don’t mind paying, but when there’s been a mistake, I think it should be handled fairly. We won’t return. Pick another restaurant for a nice dinner.

The rooms are exceptionally small, with nowhere to put a suitcase, though the bathroom is a good size. It was very quiet, and I’d recommend the place and stay again. The hotel itself is small but nice, and the location couldn’t be better: one street from the main street in Old Town, just about 10 steps up, yet much more private. The block is full of restaurants, all the ones we tried were lovely and had outdoor seating.

We ate dinner in the spectacular restaurant, and the service there was excellent, friendly but professional. Breakfast was first class as well, served from a menu rather than as a buffet. Inside, our room was spotless and had everything we needed, with plenty of bathroom space for toiletries and enough places to hang towels. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist was so kind and welcoming. They even helped carry our luggage up to the room, a personal touch you don’t often get in large multinational hotels. Such a lovely little gem. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. I’d come back in a heartbeat.😁
