Pupo Rooms

The port was visible from our window, and ferries made it easy to visit the nearby islands. We also found the old town simple to reach by bus or taxi. The room was clean, with a lovely terrace view. The facilities were dated, though we already expected that, and it worked well enough for a few nights. Just be ready for the stairs, they’re good exercise for longevity 😂.

The location is generally good, but the service was awful and the place felt overpriced. There was no internet or reception, and getting help was difficult. After ringing the bell, if you were lucky, a blond woman would appear, but she was arrogant and said she couldn’t help. The bathroom was worn and dirty, the bulb didn’t work, and the shower switch was faulty. Our kettle was disgusting, so I asked for another one and was told there wasn’t one. It was shameful and unprofessional, and the stay wasn’t worth it.

The room’s poor condition made the stay really uncomfortable. There wasn’t even a fridge, and we had no soap for washing our hands or body. Instead of proper sheets, there was just a duvet cover, and it was torn in places. Getting around meant dealing with lots of stairs, though that’s common in Croatia, and a few rooms did have a nice view. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless the basic amenities and room condition are seriously improved.

It’s clean and there’s air conditioning. I didn’t try the laundry because it looked a little dodgy. The barking dogs kept me awake, so pack earplugs. The stray cats on the stairs are cute, at least. The biggest drawback is how far away it is from everything.
