The bathroom was the dealbreaker: the listing clearly promised a private one, but there wasn’t one. The woman at reception was shockingly rude and aggressive, and couldn’t speak English. They took no responsibility and used deception to avoid giving refunds. If you want your holiday ruined, this place will manage it. Otherwise, avoid it at all costs.

That terrace alone made this worth five stars, with views like the famous walls. The host was great too. I visited in April 2024. The room was quite small and a bit dated, but still comfortable.

At a fair price, this is a decent place for a short stay if you only need somewhere to sleep. The rooms are small, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom is shared. The walls are thin, so it can get a little noisy. The host was nice and accommodating. Their English wasn’t very good, but we managed to understand each other.

The lady was helpful and really nice. You’re almost right by the centre of the old town, which suited me. I was satisfied, and would recommend it to people who’d rather spend less on luxury and get a more authentic experience.
