A word about parking first: it's free and available, but the spaces are limited, so book one with the owner in advance. It's convenient having a secure place for the car. The Old Town is an easy 10-15 minute walk downhill for exploring or going out to dinner. The uphill climb back can be tiring after a long day, but a Bolt ride costs around €8 and gets you there in minutes. The balconies have spectacular panoramic views over Dubrovnik, the entire Old Town, and the shimmering Adriatic Sea. Watching the city light up in the evening and waking up to that view each morning was unforgettable. The apartment was modern, very clean, and well maintained, with a comfortable bed and a kitchen stocked with essentials. One fun surprise was a TV channel showing Premier League football. From arrival to checkout, the staff member who welcomed me was warm and friendly, though I wish I'd remembered the name. That personal hospitality continued throughout and made the stay comfortable. Apartments Villa Ankora was a great combination of comfort, convenience, and scenery. I'd absolutely stay again.

Getting to the old city is an easy 14-minute walk from the apartment, through small, narrow streets where you can enjoy the masonry around every house. The host was pleasant and ready to help with everything. The apartment is excellent and well worth the money, and it's very close to the old city. If you're visiting Dubrovnik, I recommend staying at Villa Ankora.

A pleasant place to stay, with polite service and an acceptable price. The rooms were clean and well equipped, parking was available for guests, and the balcony offered a beautiful view of the old town. It's close enough to reach the old town on foot.

The terrace looking out over the sea was a highlight, and the apartment gave our family plenty of room. It was stocked with the basics for cooking, including salt, coffee, vinegar and oil, and the kitchen was well equipped. We visited over New Year, when it was busy season but still quieter than summer, and found parking right in front without trouble. The host family welcomed us with red wine and homemade brandy and were very kind throughout. We had a great stay, with a beautiful view of Dubrovnik's old town.

Getting into the historic centre is fairly easy if you can manage the steps, but with a buggy or wheelchair it's much harder. The walk takes about 30 minutes, and there's no path for the whole way. Inside, the apartment was clean, modern and spacious for four adults and a child. The host was helpful and even called the car hire company when we had a problem. There was also a washing machine, plus welcome wine and brandy. We had a great stay.
