Villa Malo More

The balcony view was amazing, and the one-bedroom apartment had plenty of space. We also liked the breakfast restaurant view and thought the cave bar was pretty cool. But the service was so inconsistent that we cut our stay short. Some staff were friendly, while most weren't very helpful, and nobody asked why we were leaving early. We expected more for the price and a five-star rating. Later, we stayed at a four-star hotel where the staff were friendlier and the service was much better. The room service issue summed it up. Before we arrived, they confirmed by email that it was available. After a long journey, we called from the room and were told the restaurant didn't serve the villas and couldn't pack food to take away. After we asked a few times, they offered to prepare it, but said we'd have to carry the plates ourselves. With few vegetarian choices nearby, we agreed. The dish they made wasn't what I'd ordered, and the restaurant wouldn't help. Two days later, when we tried the same arrangement, they refused that too. The rules seemed to change depending on who we spoke to, which was frustrating. The pools aren't temperature controlled, and the kitchen is very basic, with no microwave or toaster. Cleaning could've been better: our toddler kept finding rusty nails and half-eaten gummy bears around the apartment. The hotel's beach isn't a typical beach. Breakfast was the same every day, with few vegetarian options, and staff wouldn't customize any, despite what we'd been promised by email.

The service was lovely, the place was spotless, and the view is about as good as it gets. Definitely recommended!
