White House Apartments

The apartment is very clean and comfortable, right in the heart of the old town. It has what you need, including more kitchen utensils than we expected. Cooking a complicated meal would be difficult, but it’s fine for breakfast before the beach. Nina and her boyfriend were friendly and helpful to communicate with. Our ground-floor apartment had very poor sound insulation. We could hear every step and pretty much everything the upstairs neighbors did, very clearly and loudly. We couldn’t sleep until they did, and had to get up when they did, even though we’re not light sleepers. It affected our whole vacation. Another thing I wish I’d known: the church near the apartment rings every 15 minutes, day and night. After 11 PM the old town is silent, with everything closed and no one in the streets, so the bells echo and kept us awake. We hadn’t come across a church that chimes that often before. If I’d known, I would have looked for somewhere farther away.
