This apartment has potential, though getting it up to some standard would take effort. It could suit you if all you need is a place to sleep for one night, or if you won’t be spending much time in the apartment.

The bathroom mirror still had spots, the toilet was dirty, and the dishes were disgusting. The doors and kitchen fronts were just as dirty. In the bedroom, the bed blocked the wardrobe door so it couldn’t be opened. We asked for a second cleaning, which was said to have taken three hours, but there was hardly any real improvement. It was very noisy at night. We’ve been to Makarska seven times, and this was the worst apartment. We paid the Booking. com price, and I really wouldn’t recommend it.

The rooms and the whole apartment had an unpleasant smell, and the refrigerator, dishes, and kitchen were untidy. The hygiene throughout our stay was very poor. There were hairs on the sheets and in the bathtub, and the toilet bowl hadn’t been properly cleaned, which made for a terrible first impression. Basic cleanliness should come first in any accommodation. I hope the owner takes hygiene seriously, because this isn’t acceptable for guests.
