Apartments Dora

The real highlight for us was the care Ante and Tina put into hosting. They own Villa Dora, named after their daughter, and were happy to help with taxis, local food, shops and outings while still giving us space. Tina left a welcome box with homemade jams, marmalade and olive oil, and they make a smooth red wine too. We spent a week with friends in apartment 2A. The building, finished in 2020, has just four apartments. Ours was roomy, modern and thoughtfully furnished, with two double bedrooms, one ensuite, a separate bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a large living room and kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the TV and dishwasher were up to date, and air conditioning in both bedrooms and the lounge was included. Towels were changed every two days, and pool towels were free. We made good use of the big balcony for breakfast, lunch and a drink before dinner, with striking sea views and lovely sunsets. The pool area stayed clean and had plenty of loungers and parasols. It was never crowded, perhaps because the beach, with its clear water, bars and restaurants, is only a short walk away. The beach is far enough off that we couldn't hear it at night. The setting was peaceful, with restaurants about five minutes away and supermarkets around ten minutes away. Getting around was easy too. Split Airport is 15 minutes away, and a boat taxi to Trogir costs 3 euros per adult. From there, a boat to Split is 4 euros per adult. This was our first trip to Croatia, and we loved every minute. The people were kind, everything looked spotless, and the weather was wonderful. We're already hoping to return next year. Villa Dora felt like a little piece of heaven.

Such a great place to stay.

The sea is only about 200 metres away, and there are lots of restaurants and little shops nearby. We also made good use of the big, consistently clean pool, along with the gym, sauna and whirlpool. There were three of us, and we all had a lovely vacation. The apartment was beautiful, with clean, pleasant rooms and thoughtful details throughout. They changed the towels every two days, and the friendly hosts were always around when needed. We found everything we needed for a holiday.

The owners' care really shows in the design of this new four-unit building and the tasteful interiors. The pool was another standout for us, especially its saltwater. Our son could hardly be coaxed out of it. Despite a busy beach being only three minutes away, the apartment's quiet setting made for a very pleasant stay. The owners were committed to making things comfortable and were glad to help with requests. We hope to book again this fall, if the corona situation still allows travel. Thanks for a lovely stay.
