Our booking was moved here from one of their four-star hotels, even though we hadn't planned to stay here. 😂 We had an amazing time and would come back even without a transfer. The room was on the ninth floor, so the view was fantastic, and it had a smart TV, coffee maker, and great toiletries. The room was cleaned thoroughly, and coffee and bottled water were restocked daily. Breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent, with free prosecco at breakfast and a big wine list at dinner. The spa and pool were lovely and not crowded, and the staff were very nice. The gym could be better equipped, but it worked for a quick workout. It's a five-star hotel in a tourist area, so expect the matching price.

I was extremely disappointed. Booking.com didn't say that our room would be outside the main hotel. Getting to it meant walking through long basement corridors and taking stairs with no elevator. The furniture was outdated, the carpets were dirty, and there were no plugs for chargers. It was a very poor experience, and a perfect example of how to cheat guests.

We had dinner with friends at La Fourchette D'Or in the Ambassador hotel and felt very well looked after. The staff were attentive throughout. I have very restrictive dietary requirements, and the Dalmatian chef from Imotski took great care to make me a notably delicious meal. Thank you, Maestro, for such a special experience!

The service at dinner and in the SPA was perfect, and the other staff were kind. I also loved the beach, the clean sea, and the beautiful walking paths. Hotel Ambasador is a classic older hotel that has been renewed, right by the sea in Opatija's best location. The rooms vary in quality, so check carefully when booking and choose a room in the main building, where they're very nice and have sea views. After a long trip, I was given a small, dark room in the depandance for 205 euros per night. It had no elevator and wasn't suitable for either work or a holiday. The welcome on arrival was really disappointing, but after I complained, I was moved to a normal room.

I had a wonderful holiday and would love to return. One of the best things was being able to go downstairs straight onto the beach. The entry into the sea was comfortable, and the water was clean. The promenade beside the hotel was perfect for long, pleasant walks. Parking cost 15 euros a day. It was paid, though that seems typical for the area. We had lunch downstairs at Cubo, which was convenient because it serves food at any time, not just at set hours, and the food was delicious. Breakfasts were tasty and varied. Dinner was plentiful too, with a great selection of meat and seafood. The waiters helped us choose wine and gave excellent recommendations. The staff were kind and welcoming from the start, and quickly helped with my luggage and parking. Walking into the hotel, you get an amazing sea view. From our room, the sea and sunsets were breathtaking. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. A friendly woman cleaned our room, and I’m sorry I don’t know her name.
