Villa AltaVista, Opatija - Seaview & Relax with Heated Pool and Private MiniGolf

The quiet setting and the view are what made this a five-star stay for me. We spent a bit longer here during peak season and Opatija felt pleasantly busy, not overcrowded. There was plenty to do at the villa, including mini-golf, table tennis and the pool, though the exercise machine was very worn or possibly broken. I would have taken off a star for that, but the peaceful atmosphere and view won me over. Dajana was incredibly kind and looked after us throughout our three-week stay, including when problems came up. There is a construction site to the left of the villa, which could be an issue outside peak season. I'd suggest checking with the owner about that and the exercise machine if it matters to you.

The grounds are huge and fully fenced, which was a real plus for us as dog owners. The rooms, furnishings and cleanliness were all impeccable, and the location was wonderfully quiet with no neighbors and a great view across Kvarner Bay. We've rented quite a few villas in Croatia and the South of France, and this one was easily our favorite. The Marea team were friendly and capable, and made us feel well looked after. The owners' yacht charter service was just as good. Thanks to Dajana and her colleagues. We've found a new favorite and will definitely return. 5+ stars!

The whole stay was incredible, from the hosts and the atmosphere to the equipment and the view. The luxury came at a fair price, and the conditions and facilities were great. We've tried several holiday villas in Opatija, but this was the best time we've had, and we'll definitely be back. One tip for travelers considering it: book directly through the website. That saves the operators a huge commission, makes you more valuable to them, and they show their appreciation with discounts and genuine thanks. Of all the villas I've photographed so far, this is the most beautiful. The interior is even lovelier than the exterior, and the rooftop viewing deck has a gorgeous panorama across Kvarner Bay. Guests can enjoy the peace and all the amenities the owners provide, especially the Jacuzzi, sauna, pool, gym and billiard room. I'd gladly recommend it to anyone considering a stay. A clear five out of five.
