Breakfast was one of the highlights for us. There was a varied selection of excellent products, all presented beautifully, and the breakfast service was lovely. In the evening, the bar service was just as exceptional. We especially want to mention the waiter, Mr. Suped, if we’ve got his name right. He has a lot of heart, and his passion for the job comes through straight away. He was attentive, warm, and friendly whether we were having breakfast or a drink at night. Staff like him make a lasting impression. At Boutique Hotel Mauro, we felt cared for throughout our stay. The whole team was dedicated, well informed, and easy to approach. They took our questions and wishes seriously. Even getting there was relaxed: the transfer from the parking area was well organized and went smoothly, with no stress. The hotel is central but wonderfully quiet, day and evening, a peaceful place to unwind. Our room was among the most beautiful we’ve seen in Croatia. It was tastefully furnished, modern but cozy, and full of thoughtful details. Everything was clean and tidy, and it was refreshed and kept in good order every day. The attention to hygiene and comfort was clear. We were lucky to spend a few days here and can say with complete conviction that it’s one of the best hotels we’ve experienced in Croatia. The standard was top notch across the organization, rooms, cleanliness, location, and service. Many 5 star hotels could take it as an example. The breakfast was incredible, and everyone at this lovely boutique hotel was so friendly and knew their stuff. Tijana, Andrijana and Sudip really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Housekeeping also deserves a mention for keeping everything spotless. We had a perfect four days in gorgeous Porec, and can’t wait to come back next year.

The bathroom windows really needed more privacy glass. It was easy to see in or out while using the bathroom, which wasn’t ideal. We also found the parking setup confusing, since it involved a park-and-ride arrangement with another hotel to get into the town centre. We stayed one night at Hotel Mauro during a longer trip through Croatia and Slovenia. The rooms were modern and clean, and breakfast was excellent. Our room had no hot water, but reception moved us to another room when we asked if one was available.

The terrace quickly became our favorite spot. It’s the hotel’s focal point, and there’s always something to watch in a town that makes people-watching worthwhile, day or night. The staff were unfailingly helpful, with the kind of attitude that makes you feel they’re already thinking about how to help. Breakfast was excellent too, and the team would probably try to make something for you if it wasn’t on the buffet and they could manage it. The location is hard to beat, right by the harbour with views across to Isabella Island Resort. It took about five minutes to get from our room to the island ferry. The decor, furnishings and finishes are just right, and the building is beautifully cared for every day. If you love boutique hotels, this one’s a treat. We were in room 107, which was the best room, of course.
