Breakfast, dinner, and the pool were all great. This feels more like a family hotel than a quiet romantic escape, so keep that in mind if you want a peaceful weekend. I don't support charging extra to use the sauna. It feels like a money grab.

We had a wonderful holiday and were really pleased with the service, the cleanliness, the hotel amenities, and the beautifully kept grounds. The food was bland, and the cups hadn't been washed. Our room was dirty and moldy, and construction noise started waking us at 7 in the morning. I don't think this place merits four stars. The Valamar sign seems to be the only reason it has that rating, and three stars would be plenty.

The coastal walk into town takes about 20 minutes, and the views are beautiful. Being outside the center didn't bother me at all. The best part for me was the food: breakfast and dinner had so much choice, and nothing else I ate during my month in Croatia came close. The rooms were about what I expected, with handy drying racks on the balconies. The bathroom felt much older than the updated areas elsewhere, especially the shower, which looked straight out of a time-machine movie, though it worked fine. I'd recommend staying here.

We paid 360 Euro a night, and the hotel feels very old and in need of an update. The central air wasn't working well, and neither was the bathroom. Meals were chaotic with the hotel so full: breakfast only started around 8 am, while dinner ran from 6.30 pm to 8.30.pm. With so many half-board guests arriving at once, the waitresses couldn't clear tables or set out forks and knives fast enough. It felt like a zoo.
