Labin, Istria, was a peaceful, relaxing place for a family holiday. The house sits in the Presika district, about 1-2 km from Labin's old town, as the second-to-last home on a quiet cul-de-sac. The height gave us a cooling evening breeze during our visit, which was lovely. Discount supermarkets are about 2 km away, and the house is a good base for exploring the charming surroundings by car. The hosts, a friendly and helpful family living upstairs, spoke German and English with us. The apartment had everything we needed, so we felt comfortable right away. It has a combined living room and kitchen with an extra pull-out bed, a bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe, another room with a wardrobe, a bathroom, and a terrace. Air conditioning is available, though we didn't need it because the apartment stayed cool during our visit. There were plenty of bathroom towels, and the hostess replaced them when needed. A washing machine is available for personal laundry. They also brought us garden tomatoes and homemade schnapps.

The service and cleanliness were first-rate, and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed. We'd definitely recommend it.
