Hotel Park Punat managed by Falkensteiner

We asked at Hotel Falkensteiner in Punat whether we could charge our electric car for an hour. Staff initially said yes, then changed their answer shortly after and quoted €30 for that one hour, which felt excessive. The front desk woman seemed uncertain about the policy and had to call the director, who simply said no. A very disappointing experience. For a hotel at this level, we expected clearer communication and more professionalism.

The Summer Bonus made the price reasonable, and there were some real positives for our three-night summer stay in a Comfort Family Room. The food was tasty, dinner drinks were included, and the beach setup worked especially well for children, with free loungers and good coffee. But the room, though spacious, looked worn, with ceiling stains and mold in the shower. The toilet was only superficially cleaned in the morning, leaving dirt on the floor. Pool and beach towels weren't readily available, and the children's bathrobes we asked for never arrived. There was no practical place to hang wet swimsuits either. Charging €1 per person for the shuttle to the nearby beach seemed unnecessary. We'd rate it four out of five, good value with things to improve.

This was our second visit to Falkenstiner Punat, and I can say, as someone with 15 years in hospitality management on one of the world's best five-star cruise lines, that my family and I are grateful to the whole team for such wonderful hospitality. The logo says "Welcome Home," and it really felt that way. We'll definitely return. Ms.Irena, the front desk manager, and the young, smiling and polite Ms.Lucija made a special effort with our arrival, accommodation, and individual reservations. Mr.Ljudevit from maintenance helped whenever anything was missing or needed attention. Ms. Anica, the restaurant manager, gave us perfect service, while Mr. Benjamin, the bar manager, was great to talk with and made fantastic cocktails. At the pool, Mr.Ivan the"Cricket" always had a smile and a joke. Ms.Katarina kept our room tidy and spotless. And Mr.Ratko, Food and Beverage Director, kept everything under fantastic control and checked in with us every day, always smiling and friendly. Thank you all for a wonderful experience. The location is great, and the staff were so friendly and helpful, doing their best to make our stay pleasant. Our room was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. The food was freshly prepared, varied, and really tasty. I'll definitely come back.
