Hotel Continental

The staff were really nice, and the hotel is right in the city center, but parking is scarce. There are only free spaces for about 7 or 8 cars around the hotel, plus a paid lot directly across the street. The hotel rooms are free from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. It's a bit dated, though everything was clean. The rooms facing inward have air conditioning, but there can be noise and cooking smells. Breakfast and dinner are offered. Since we live in Türkiye, the breakfast selection didn't appeal to us, as we don't like a wide variety of breakfast options.

I spent one night here in August 2023 while working overseas. For a city hotel, it was good value, and I could easily walk to nearby places.

The stove in the apartment didn't work, so cooking was impossible, even though that was one of the main reasons we chose the place. The price was high and the quality fell well short of what I expected, making it very poor value for money. From the start, the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. I can't recommend this accommodation.

The hotel is old, but very clean, which matters most to me. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of food to choose from, and the older receptionist was sweet and pleasant. The young woman at reception, though, was extremely impolite and rude. She seemed frustrated, and I really don't understand why someone would act that way in a job where being polite and at least smiling matters. My room was clean except for black hair on the pillow. The beds are very old, and it was noisy outside. For one night it was okay, and I'd recommend staying for a night or two, but the price is extremely high for this level of service.
