Lighthouse Rijeka

We had a great time here during carnival. The bus stop is only two minutes away, and there's a shop on the building's ground floor. The apartment had all we needed. The owner, a kind Slavonian, was always available, and we sorted everything out with just a few messages. We're mostly satisfied. Greetings!

The hosts were kind, but the basics weren't in order. Our room hadn't been cleaned, the dishes were dirty, there was no toilet paper, and my daughter found a long hair on the bed. The TV didn't work either. None of the front door keys worked, so we used one from another room, and later the guests there were missing that key. For the price I wasn't expecting much, just the essentials to be taken care of.

The apartment is on the fourth floor of a nearly derelict building, and the stairwell is filthy. The landlord is almost impossible to reach, so you could turn up to a locked door and need to find somewhere else to stay. I can't recommend it.

The building smells awful and the front door slams shut, with light coming through around it. The apartment itself is neat, but the bed is so uncomfortable that sitting in the wrong spot makes both you and the bed fall over. They'd only left linens for one person although we booked for two. There were two glasses, one broken, and I couldn't connect to the WiFi.
