I found it relaxing to sip coffee in the morning sun on the balcony and look toward the mountains. Zafran was a wonderful host who greeted us when we returned from our day out and checked if we needed anything. He lent us bikes one day so we could explore the area, and even offered a rain jacket when the weather looked uncertain with scattered showers. We really enjoyed our stay.

The two-bedroom place was huge, and the stay was very quiet. There’s a small store up the road, and a short walk down the road takes you to a lovely clear stream for swimming. The neighboring dogs are super friendly. One thing to watch: there’s a sister hotel closer to the turnoff, so make sure you know which one you’re staying at. A wonderful place to stay when visiting Plitvice.

We really enjoyed our stay in Smoljanac. The host was so kind and even drove us to and from the beautiful Plitvice Lakes. Coffee and tea were free, and we could use the washing machine too.

I never actually stayed at this guesthouse, but the host helped me when I was lost on the road and drove me to the place where I was staying. It was dark, and he also tried to help me find my house key when nobody seemed to be at my guesthouse. If he hadn't taken me there, I would have stayed at his place.

It was expensive, and the customer service didn't feel as friendly as I expected in Croatia. After dinner, the owner cleaned the coffee machine before checking whether the guests wanted coffee.
