We slept well in the clean, pleasant apartment, which had two bedrooms and a dining space. Each bedroom opened onto a lovely terrace with a table and chairs, with beautiful scenery to enjoy. The property was easy to locate, and Plitvice Lakes is about 7 or 8 km from Villa Hodak. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The staff spoke German rather than much English. A washing machine in the bathroom would have been useful.

The restaurant next door was fantastic, and there’s a market beside the property and another across the street for snacks or essentials. The owner was friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed; the bathroom and shower were small but worked fine. A great base for a trip to Plitvice Lakes.

We got a warm welcome and found the rooms clean and nice. We stayed just one night while visiting Plitvicka Jezera.

We arrived too late to buy beer from the market across the street, so the owners kindly gave us some. People like that are hard to come by.
