Abokamento Boutique Rooms

The room was huge and had loads of storage, a massive comfortable bed, and a great walk-in shower. There are only four rooms above Abokomento Restaurant, reached through a private side entrance, so it never felt busy. Staff aren't on site, but are downstairs if you need them. Marin, the manager, welcomed us and gave us helpful suggestions for places to see. Breakfast is ordered from downstairs, and every option was really good. Everything is just minutes away, right in the middle of the action. A heads-up if you're sensitive to noise: I've lived in cities for over 20 years and can handle quite a bit, but the restaurant downstairs and the ice cream shop across the way are both busy until they close at midnight. The nearby bars let out from 2am onward, with screaming twenty-somethings. Even with the windows shut, it's noisy, so don't expect a quiet neighborhood. Light sleepers should bring earplugs.

The room stayed clean each day, and the beds were comfortable. We were in Split for our honeymoon, and Marin was a really friendly host who went out of his way to help us. The breakfast was great every morning, and the location made it easy to get to everything we wanted to see. It’s a busy area, so earplugs might help if you’re a light sleeper. We’d definitely stay here again on our next trip to Split.

We felt looked after right through checkout. They let us keep the room for an extra 1.5 hours while our little one slept, and the staff carried all our luggage downstairs. Marin had also sorted out our arrival and kept in touch on WhatsApp from the time we booked. He even found us a table at Bokaria when it was fully booked. The room was spacious and thoughtfully decorated, with a very comfortable bed and a choice of pillows. Marino looked after us at dinner and breakfast, and his recommendations made the evening especially enjoyable. We loved the oxtail risotto and lamb, and the starters were well worth trying too. If you’re in Split, we’d highly recommend this hotel and Bokaria restaurant.

We had to leave too early for breakfast on our last day, so the host kindly arranged something for us to take away. We missed eating the tasty food in the restaurant, but it was a really thoughtful gesture. The restaurant is right below the hotel, and the breakfast vouchers included with our stay were a lovely perk. The food there was amazing. Our room was comfortable, the view was lovely, and the service was spectacular. The hotel is well placed for walking to many sights, and we were given a map and several helpful recommendations. We had a fantastic stay at this boutique hotel.
