Apartments Nena

The apartment was spotless, and everything in it worked properly. It's well placed between the center and the beach. The landlady was warm and respectful, with just a few simple rules and very little to ask of us. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

We found the place on Booking.com, where a room was listed for 32 euros. Since we've had a bad experience paying in advance, we wanted to see it first. In person, the woman said she only had a room for 55 euros, then offered to lower it to 40. When I asked whether I could book the 32-euro room through Booking.com right then, she said she simply wouldn't give us a room at that price. Not a pleasant way to deal with us.

The bed was really comfortable, and the balcony was lovely. The room was good, the price was low, and the location was very convenient. The woman who checked me in was friendly and helpful whenever I needed something. I was very happy with my stay and plan to come back next year.

While we were there, my friend and I were sick, so we spent most of our time in the room sleeping or reading. One night we went to make popcorn, since the Hostelworld listing said there was a kitchen guests could use. The owner got upset, told us to leave the kitchen, said we weren't allowed to use it, and called us the worst customers she'd ever had. Another night, I woke up to her shouting and banging on a different room's door, telling those guests to get out. The whole stay was deeply unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
