Evala luxury rooms with pool and garden

I loved the place, especially our balcony, which made the stay feel extra special. The grounds are beautiful, the staircase is amazing, and the whole atmosphere is spectacular. It’s also brilliantly located for shops and whatever else you might need. Both reception staff were amazing. After a long day at the beach, the pool was refreshing. Grab an Aperol spritz and enjoy it, especially on one of Split’s famously lazy days.

Šug is an excellent restaurant just 50m from the apartment, and we’d choose it any day over the restaurants in the Palace. The place itself is only a few minutes from Diocletian Palace, with beautiful modern rooms and all the essentials. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. After relaxing by the pool in the afternoon heat, it was easy to head out and explore the city in the evening.

The pool and hot tub were nice, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The hotel also kindly arranged laundry service during our stay. It seems fairly new and still finding its feet, and was good for the price, though there’s room to improve. Getting in took a while: we had to call the landline to get someone to let us in, and nobody was around when we needed to check out. Breakfast was included in our online booking, but there’s no breakfast at the hotel. They arranged for us to eat across the street at Šug each morning, where the choices were limited and some ingredients were missing. Our bedroom was quite small and got little natural light, so it could feel stuffy if you spent much time there. That may not matter if you only use the room to sleep. I understand some rooms are larger, so for a stay of a few nights it may be worth asking for one in advance. The rooms also aren’t soundproofed, though that’s common in the city centre. The toiletries were lower quality. Lavender is produced locally and relatively cheaply, so why not offer natural products? The smart TV wasn’t connected, which meant we couldn’t use Netflix or similar. That should be an easy fix.

The room was huge, and the bed was just as big, super comfortable, and relaxing. It’s a real hidden gem in a great location. The pool and hot tub were a welcome break from the beach, too. A must-visit when you’re in Split.
