This isn't a hotel, but a beautiful apartment in the middle of Split's old town, inside the walls of Diocletian’s Palace. From the terrace, the view toward the St Domnius tower is stunning.

Ivana at reception was really helpful and gave us a great welcome. We stayed in the Matkovic luxury apartment, a few blocks from this address, which is the reception. The place is modern and well furnished, with a cool bedroom and two bathrooms, one with a hot tub. Its open balcony looks straight onto the cathedral and the square below, where restaurants have live music, with a panoramic view over the rest of the city. Hard to ask for a better setting.

The apartment was spacious and clean, and the staff were courteous and attentive whenever we dealt with them. The location is hard to beat, with lovely views of Diocletian’s Palace and an easy walk to both the promenade and bus terminal.

A spacious room with nice decor, and a very handy spot for the beach and nearby bars and restaurants. It's also next to the Dalmatian structure.
