Nirvana Rooms & Apartments

It’s a quiet spot, around 50 metres from Green Market and very close to the old town. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows were hard. The apartment is on the second floor, and the Nirvana Rooms sign is way up high on the front of the building, so remember to look up. It’s tucked into a back alley, so don’t expect a taxi to drop you right at the door.

Davor and Danijela made us feel very welcome. We arrived before the room was ready, and they let us wait in their air-conditioned kitchen with cold water. They also left coffee capsules for several days and offered to do our laundry for free since we were staying a full week. Hvala! After checkout, they kept our luggage safe for a few hours at no charge, too. The location worked really well for us. Nirvana rooms is an easy walk from Old Town Split, the port, and the central bus station, so we could catch ferries and buses to other places. It’s also away from the bars, restaurants, and noisy streets. We’d happily stay again and recommend it to friends. Our room was very clean, with working air conditioning and TV, decent Wi-Fi, and a Nespresso machine. We could connect our phones to the TV and stream our own shows, which was fun. The shower was small but had good pressure. The room itself felt a bit tight with two large suitcases, and we would have preferred a double bed. We had the green room with two small beds; one was against the wall with no bedside table or power outlet for a phone. Noise from nearby doors early in the morning and from upstairs woke us a couple of times. Still, we really appreciated the complimentary coffee capsules and shower gel. The room was clean when we arrived, and we liked having a hanger outside the window for drying clothes and towels. The host was friendly, and the location was okay. The bathroom felt dated, with a cramped shower, weak hot water that wouldn’t stay at a steady temperature, and very little toilet paper. The beds were softer than we like, even though we usually prefer soft beds.

We had a great stay in Nirvana’s one-bedroom flat in July 2023. Davor and his wife were very helpful when my son was injured and needed a larger bed than we’d booked; they found a good solution for us. The flat was beautiful and practical, with spacious, newly renovated rooms and a large, functional bathroom. Both the bedroom bed and the sofa bed were very comfortable. The air conditioning worked well in the summer, and the flat was an easy walk from the main areas while staying quiet at night. I’d definitely stay again when we’re back in Split. Thank you!
