Palms Promenade Luxury Rooms

Getting into the room took more than six hours, with no replies to calls or messages. We only got in at 3:00 AM after being told, “Sorry, we didn’t see the call.” There’s no proper reception, staff, or service. The listing on Booking.com calls this a luxury hotel, but it felt like a random apartment in a sketchy building. At night, reaching the entrance means walking through a dark, dangerous alley. Homeless people sleep outside, and the garbage bins downstairs smell so bad that the stink comes up into the room. There’s no elevator, and we had to haul our luggage up four floors of dirty stairs covered in graffiti. We couldn’t sleep because we heard everything from the neighbors, including their intimate activities all night. This was the worst place I’ve stayed in Split. It wasn’t safe or clean, and it wasn’t what it claimed to be. Definitely not luxury. Avoid it if you want to enjoy your trip.

The room was modern, spotless, and quiet, with the shore and Old Town right nearby. We had trouble figuring out how to reach the host at first and had to ask at the tourist information office, but once we got through, Tomas was fantastic. He explained how to enter the building and get around, including taking ferries from Split to the islands. We had an excellent stay despite the initial confusion. I’d recommend it to anyone staying in Split.

We were unsure how to check in at first, but a call brought our host Tomo over quickly. He carried our bags up all the stairs, showed us how the room worked, and talked us through the area. He was friendly, service-minded, and easy to reach throughout the week whenever we needed anything. The room was lovely and the location was just right. We couldn’t get the TV figured out, but we hadn’t come to Europe to watch TV anyway. I’d recommend the place.

The view was fantastic, and the room was clean and comfortable. As a woman traveling alone, I especially appreciated how secure it felt. Ivica was so helpful, giving me recommendations and arranging an early transfer to the airport so I didn’t have to worry about it. I’d stay here again if I return to Croatia.
