Alba Residence

My girlfriend and I had a really pleasant four-day stay. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for days at the beach. Staff responded quickly whenever we had a question and helped us find the right ferry dock. We'd recommend staying here.

The sheets, towels, rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were the cleanest I've ever seen, and I travel a lot. The apartments are gorgeous, large, and brand new. The place is family-run, with customer service clearly at the heart of it. The charming woman who runs it went out of her way to fit us in for an extra night. We liked it so much we didn't want to leave. Breakfast is prepared and served by a lovely older lady. It's in a very nice, quiet area, about a 16-minute walk to the crowded center or a €7 Uber ride. If I could, I'd give it 11 stars instead of 10. See you soon. Cheers.

We stayed in the Marlon Brando suite, which was clean, modern, and thoughtfully laid out. It had a king-sized bed that was very comfortable, plus a spacious balcony with a dining table and sun loungers. Inside, the lounge and dining areas were comfortable, and the kitchen had all the appliances needed. The residence has underground parking behind an automatic garage door. Breakfast is included, with a good selection served on the penthouse terrace overlooking the sea. It was a lovely start to the day. The only thing I'd suggest is offering a softer pillow, perhaps one kept in the wardrobe. I woke with neck ache each morning from the single hard pillow. It's on a quiet residential street, about a 15-20 minute walk from the old town, and was otherwise a great stay.

I really enjoyed the rooftop terrace where breakfast is served, especially the stunning view. There were plenty of healthy choices, including fruit, nuts, yogurt, boiled eggs, and fresh croissants. The owners made coffee to order, and it was really good. That said, the B&B felt overpriced and not like a four-star place. It was generally clean, but two towels and one bathrobe had large orange stains. The advertised sauna is built into the shower, with no instructions. Even after waiting a couple of hours, it didn't get warm enough, whether used as a sauna or steam room. The spa bath controls also didn't work properly. The buttons seemed to do what they wanted, so there was no way to know when the bubbles would start or how fast they'd run. The bed was big and nice, but the pillows were so thick and hard that they weren't comfortable.
