The place was clean and comfortable, and its excellent location made it easy to explore the city, close to downtown. I’d recommend staying here, but the old-style key setup was inconvenient. You can’t open the door from outside without a key, which is awkward when you’re going back and forth to the beach. One night I left the key in the inside lock by accident and couldn’t get back in. The owner called a locksmith because the key was stuck, and the bill came to €150. It was unexpected and stressful during the trip. I hope they consider a newer self-entry system to make access easier and prevent this happening to future guests.

The staff were friendly and professional, and their warm welcome and willingness to help with questions or requests made the stay especially enjoyable. The room was a good size and comfortable, and the convenient location made it easy to reach nearby sights, restaurants and shops. I’d have appreciated parking being included, to avoid an extra hassle. A coffee machine in the room would also be a nice addition. My stay was positive, and those small improvements would make the hotel an even more appealing choice.

Our studio was modern, spacious and thoughtfully laid out, with a sunny balcony, a well-equipped kitchenette and two flat-screen TVs. The bed was super comfortable, the linens fluffy, and the bathroom had a rain shower and nice toiletries. Daily housekeeping was a big plus. Diocletian’s Palace is only about a five-minute walk away. Parking is available beneath the apartment complex if you reserve it, for an extra €20 a day. There are some very noisy peacocks nearby, but with the doors shut we didn’t notice them at night.

The Residence staff were wonderful. They gave us great dinner and sightseeing recommendations, and even arranged a golf cart to take us to our departing ferry. The apartment was huge and new, with good security, a balcony, a clean and comfortable bed, and a shower with plenty of pressure. It’s in a quiet part of Split, about a 15-minute walk from the old town. We’d arrived in Split at midnight during a thunderstorm and accidentally went to the vestibule Hotel. The concierge was incredibly kind, offered us water and even offered us a hotel suite for the night, with a golf cart ride to the nearby residence in the morning. We gratefully declined and made our way to the apartment. We’d definitely stay here again.

We were treated like royalty from booking right through to leaving. They had a parking space reserved for us, and Ivan and margarita were amazing. They made our trip a fantastic one with great tips on food, places to visit and beaches. The apartment was lovely and fully equipped, with Split centre just a five-minute walk away. The food we had was delicious and well priced, and everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. One of my best holidays ever. Thanks Croatia and residence!
