Sun Spalato Hills

I wouldn't recommend this Sun Spalato apartment. I gave it 2 out of 5 because of how it was presented, the surroundings and infrastructure, and the way the staff handled problems. The apartment looked more worn than the listing photos suggested. Those pictures seemed edited to make it look newer and fresher. The actual condition wasn't awful, but it didn't meet expectations or have the polished, lively look shown online. That kind of presentation makes it hard to trust the listing or want to return. The area was poorly maintained, with rubbish on the road right by the parking area. The parking itself wasn't covered. During a hailstorm, the main gate fell into the road. It missed my car, but could easily have hit it, and it was a clear safety concern that suggested basic maintenance had been neglected. The service was the worst part, 1 out of 5. Before check-in, I checked for damage so I wouldn't be blamed for it later and found that the balcony window wouldn't close properly. I reported it right away. They first asked me to check it again, which I did, and then said they'd send maintenance. Instead, they emailed me a video showing how to close a window, as if I didn't know how one should work. When staff eventually arrived, they pulled up that same video and tried to use it to fix the issue. It didn't help. I eventually accepted the situation and asked them to repair it after checkout. On our departure day, a severe hailstorm hit, and the flat started flooding through the window that wouldn't shut. I had to hold it closed with my own hands to keep the rain from soaking everything, rather than move my car to safety. This was around 9 AM. We were meant to leave at 10 for a ferry, and the fallen gate was blocking us. I asked staff to come remove it so we could get out without being drenched. They sent instructions on how the gate should work if it weren't broken. They left me, a 50kg woman, to deal with a heavy gate alone in a storm. Luckily, I'm a 110kg powerlifter, but that's beside the point. I also asked them to call me, and they refused. Their response felt negligent, unprofessional, and shockingly indifferent. It was a serious failure to take responsibility, and I strongly advise anyone who values their time, money, and sanity to stay away from this agency and its properties.
