The View Luxury Rooms

The location made getting around easy. It's a three-minute walk to the city center, four minutes to the nearest beach, and four minutes to the port, with really great views too. You don't have to stay right in the heart of Diocletian’s Palace. Our room was very clean and updated, and the AC worked really well, which is one of the most important things for me in a hotel. The beds were comfortable enough and did the job. The TV was set ridiculously high above the bed, but it had satellite and so many channels that you're bound to find an English Channel you like. We didn't take the breakfast option.

The view of the harbour was nice, though we only saw it at breakfast since our room faced the other way. Breakfast itself was good, with plenty to choose from, and there are several nearby restaurants with a good selection. It's only a few minutes' walk to the heart of Split. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we stayed two nights in clean, modern rooms. The hotel occupies floors 8 and 10 of the building. We went to floor 10 when we arrived, but it was locked. We'd missed the lobby sign saying reception is on floor 8. Once we called, everything was sorted out.

The view is good, breakfast is fine but limited, and the reception staff are really kind. Still, I won't be back. I was shattered the next day after barely sleeping. The walls are paper thin, so you hear everything through the night. If sleep matters to you, avoid room 7 in particular. It's practically beside reception and the kitchen, and you can hear breakfast being prepared from about 5AM. A hotel's main job is to let you sleep, and this one failed at that. It also looks like an office block because it's two floors of an actual office building.

We had a great stay. The room was comfortable, quiet, and very well located, with a beautiful view. The staff were so warm. We had an early tour, and they arranged a breakfast box for us the night before. We walked everywhere. The beach is five minutes away, and if you keep going left you'll reach nicer beaches. The city center, with hundreds of restaurants and bars to choose from, is an eight-minute walk. The port is 10 minutes away on foot, so you don't need a car if you're arriving or leaving by ferry.
