Villa Apartment Cambi

The bed was unbelievably comfortable, I didn’t want to get up. The apartment was safe, secure, and just as shown in the photos, with everything I needed. It’s in a lovely, quaint area, around a 7-8 minute walk from the centre and harbour. Communication with the host was prompt, professional, and welcoming.

We spent five nights here and would strongly recommend it. The location is ideal, about five minutes to the old town and seven to the beach, with shops and a city bike station nearby. There’s public parking 80 metres away. The staff were helpful, the apartment was exceptionally clean, and they even provided a baby chair. Thanks for a great stay!

We booked Villa Cambi for three days but never slept there. After we arrived in Split and went to Villa Cambi, we messaged the owner and were told the room was damaged and needed repairs. They hadn’t warned us beforehand, which says a lot about their communication. We waited 15 minutes for a man to take us to another apartment that I couldn’t find on Google or any booking site. I suspect it’s used for double bookings when something goes wrong, and I don’t believe Villa Cambi actually needed repairs. The replacement apartment was very close to the old city, and the small couch I slept on was okay, but the bed was the worst I’d had in years. I could feel every spring in the mattress, and there wasn’t even toilet paper, so we had to buy our own. The TV had maybe two working channels, both home shopping. They said we could move into Villa Cambi after a day of repairs and that they’d contact us. No one did. We had to message and eventually call the owner to get an answer, and were then told to stay in the other apartment longer. We spent all three booked days there and never heard another word about the supposed repairs. When we later couldn’t get an answer about where to leave the keys as we left Split, they finally responded after we threatened a negative review and a complaint to the travel agency. They offered a discount, but it never arrived. They didn’t follow up or respond to our questions about the refund.

I recommend this place. It’s very close to a public beach, one of the best, and only a five-minute walk away.
