Villa M

We found the pool, spa and sauna especially welcome on a hot day in August. The hotel itself was beautiful, with a clean, spacious room, and the employees were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was included, with a good range of options, and the room was fresh, nicely furnished and clean. It also had towels, shampoo, shower gel and a hair dryer, while the balcony was handy for smokers. A kettle would have been a nice addition. We had to book Villa M at the last minute, calling to ask about availability and arriving just 10 minutes later. Andrea was lovely on the phone and welcomed us at check-in, even though it was 10pm. She also gave us restaurant recommendations nearby. The rest of the staff were pleasant and friendly too. It was one of our best hotel stays, great value for money, and we'd highly recommend it.

The pool was well looked after, and breakfast had options for everyone's dietary needs in our group. My compliments. Staff were very helpful, and the room was well maintained and stocked, although a few door handles had come off and could use attention. The centre is an 8 minute drive or a 35 minute walk if you're up for it. The beach is a 15 minute walk downhill, but you'll want a car for the climb back.

The staff made the stay for me. They were always smiling, attentive and ready to help. When they noticed I wasn't having dairy, they offered to get almond milk, and after I mentioned my gluten allergy, they bought gluten free bread for breakfast the next day. There was lots of choice at the included breakfast, and we loved relaxing by the pool and jacuzzi. Drinks at the pool bar were ridiculously cheap! Villa M was one of my best hotel experiences, and I loved every minute. It's a little outside the city centre, but at that price you couldn't get a hotel like this downtown. A ride with Uber was only 5-8€, so it didn't bother me. There are also a beach and beach bars about a 10 minute walk away. Great value, and I highly recommend it.
