Just be aware that a few bars are nearby and close at midnight. The quirky little villa is also right by pretty much everything, which made it a great base for a long weekend.

Staying inside Diocletians palace was amazing, and we had a wonderful time in Split after our cruise. We were four adults, me, my husband and our two sons, and everyone had their own room and space. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked well, and housekeeping stayed on top of things. It's worth knowing that there are stairs, so it may not work for anyone who has trouble with them, and there's no parking nearby. There are restaurants and shops all around, with a coffee shop across the street. A small grocery store is a couple of blocks away and the self-service laundry is around the corner, all easy to reach on foot. I'd love to come back and stay here again.

The location is ideal, though the bars around it can be noisy, so it seems better suited to young people. The bathrooms get wet like a camper's, and the stairs are manageable if you're okay with them.

The villa is a lovely architectural gem, arranged across four floors and tastefully decorated. The host was friendly and organized, and the place has everything you might need. Keep in mind that all those stairs make it unsuitable for disabled guests. It's right in the center of Diocletian's Palace, with the old town and waterfront close by. Restaurants of all sorts and small souvenir shops fill the surrounding streets, within about a hundred meters. You can't get there by car, and the narrow, twisting lanes wouldn't allow it anyway.

The owners are really kind, and the apartment is tastefully furnished. Right in the center of Split, a top 10 place!
