Villa Demonta

I've been to Trogir five times, and I'd rate Villa Demonta as two-star accommodation. The place itself is clean and beautiful, and the location is good, but there's a long list of rules and restrictions. The air conditioning is only in the living room, and the bedrooms are too small. To sleep better, you'd need to leave the door open, which means giving up privacy. You can only run the air conditioning while you're inside the apartment, so after a day at the beach or in town, the living room takes a while to cool again. Be aware that loud noise isn't allowed because the neighbours may call the police. The hosts live upstairs. I can say the same about the personnel.

A full 10/10 experience.

The garden ended up being one of our favorite parts, with a BBQ, Jacuzzi, loungers and lovely evening lighting. We were six adults and had loads of room, and it was easy to feel at home even though Jakša and his family live upstairs. The villa is spotless and comfortably furnished, with a well-equipped kitchen, washer, towels, supplies, air conditioning in every room and a roomy bathroom. There’s a sunny conservatory dining spot, parking at the house, and the Old Town is a five-minute walk away. Shops and a bakery are close too. Jakša welcomed us warmly with drinks and snacks and shared lots of useful ideas for making the trip special. You can see planes go by, but we didn’t find that bothersome and couldn’t hear them inside. The airport is about a ten-minute bus ride away. We had a wonderful Croatia holiday and would highly recommend the villa.

We loved being able to walk to the beautiful old town in five minutes, and the supermarket opposite made shopping easy. There are other shops nearby too. The villa was so well equipped, with air conditioning in the bedrooms and living room, a dishwasher and plenty of tablets, plus a washer, detergent, softener, towels and even shower gel. A lovely surprise was waiting in the fridge. The owners were very welcoming, showed us around and shared great suggestions for places to visit. The lady of the house, their son and daughter, and their cute little dog all won us over. She even baked us a delicious cake, and everyone was so friendly. Outside, there are several places to sit, a BBQ and a Jacuzzi, all lit up beautifully at night. Planes pass overhead regularly, though we couldn’t hear them indoors because the villa is well insulated. We stayed for ten days and had such a memorable holiday. Thank you 🌞❤️✈️
