Hotel Nikola

The best things about Nicola Hotel are the location and price. It’s near a beautiful pebble beach with amazing emerald water, and there’s a bakery and supermarket on the way. Vodice is a nice holiday destination with plenty of amenities. This is a good fit for modest tourists, and worth the price. The staff were friendly and spoke English. The food was tasty, but don’t expect gourmet meals: breakfast and dinner were standard, with a small choice of side dishes, meat or fish, salad, and fruit. Drinks were only available at breakfast. Our room for two with an extra bed was so cramped there was no space at all. The bed blocked the wardrobe, so we had to leave our clothes in a suitcase. The balcony was nice and looked onto a front garden with fur trees. To get the room cleaned and the towels changed, we had to ask at reception and leave the key, which seemed strange. The small fridge cost 38 kunas per day to use. There was no hairdryer in the bathroom, and only all-purpose lotion, so bring your own shampoo and conditioner.
