Hostel 63

It's handy for walking to the city centre and old town, and the en suite rooms were spotless. They're extremely small, though, more like sleeping cabins than rooms when they're full, with nowhere to sit except on your bed. The bed curtains give you some privacy and come with a light and socket, which is useful. The wardrobes are small but fit suitcases and some clothes.

I stayed four nights. The room was very clean and the location was great, but other guests were really loud. Staff were lovely, though the front desk seemed to be closed most of the time. If you need toilet paper, plan ahead. Wi-Fi only worked for the first two days, and I didn't know breakfast was only served to big groups because the website didn't say so. It's fine if all you need is somewhere to sleep for a night and you're okay using your own mobile data.

The location is great, close to the cathedral, bus stations and old town sights, and it was quiet at night so I slept well. But calling this a hostel doesn't really fit: it's separate, with no kitchen, proper common hangout space, or organized activities. There's not even a hot water boiler or other services beyond the room, so you can't make your own tea or coffee.

The location was the one good thing about our stay. We were lucky to be there just one night: the room smelled bad and hadn't been cleaned properly, and neither had the sheets or pillows. The bathroom and toilet were poorly cleaned too. I know it's not a five-star hotel, but it should at least be clean and fresh.
