Hotel Forty Two

We felt at home the whole time at Inn Forty Two. Everyone working there was kind and always smiling, and the owner is a bright person. We had a perfect stay, and my family and I will definitely return when we're back in Zagreb. We'll remember it warmly.

We got there at 8pm after traveling more than 300km, only to find nobody at the hotel and no accommodation. We had booked through booking in February, about two months ahead, for our April arrival. When I finally reached the owner, he said to contact booking for a refund because the hotel had no electricity, even though we could go inside. Everyone knows getting hold of booking isn't easy. Why didn't the owner tell us in advance? We're in a foreign country with nowhere to stay. Thanks for this beautiful trip!

The free car park was a big plus. The room had a glamour style, and breakfast was decent, though it could have had more variety. I'm taking off a star because one of the two bathrooms had no door.

The staff were generally kind and helpful. My room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was okay but nothing special. The location is somewhat far from the city center, though the tram gets you there in 20 minutes. I had an economic single room, and it felt cramped. There was no window or desk, which bothered me. I asked to change rooms, but the staff didn't help. I wouldn't recommend the economic single room.
