For a quiet break, this is a lovely spot. The rooms have air conditioning, and the village is only minutes from the sea. There are enough places to eat, plus a mini market in Zaton a short walk away. The bus to Dubrovnik, about 7k away, stops nearby. Perfect.

I wasn't staying there. We had stopped nearby while waiting for another car to catch up, and when I asked to use their toilet, they refused. I realize I was a complete stranger, but it made me feel they weren't community-minded at all.

The outside space is great, with a pool and BBQ, and the owner was friendly and helpful. It was very clean too. The downside is the busy road right outside, especially with small children, and there's no footpath along it.

It's a modern apartment with an idyllic view, but the main road to Dubrovnik is right there. The traffic noise takes away some of its charm.

Small, but clean and decent.
