The rooms are quite basic but clean, and breakfast is simple: oats, jam, bread, deli items, spreadable cheese, butter, a few Danish pastries, eggs, and two kinds of fruit. They said rooms would be cleaned daily, though that didn't happen, but we didn't mind. Whenever we needed something, we just asked and they brought it. Everyone was lovely and helpful. The owner was especially nice: he took my husband and son fishing early one morning, then they cooked whatever they caught on the barbecue. It's a great family-run place, and I'd recommend it and come back.

Zavala is so peaceful, a lovely place to slow down and relax. The food at Pension Braco deserves its own mention, especially the spectacular dinners that always finish with a perfect dessert. The beach is just a three-minute walk away, and every room really does look out over the sea. I can't think of a better place in Croatia, or maybe even on Hvar! :)

It's a beautiful, secluded spot with a great beach nearby, comfortable accommodation, and amazing views. I hired a car to explore the island, and I'd certainly come back. Pansion Braco is family-run, so you get a lovely feel for Croatian culture. The food is superb and the hospitality first class. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
