Satama Hotel

Satama Hotel was great value for the price, and I’d happily recommend it. The pool was spotless and peaceful, a lovely spot to unwind after a busy day. From the room to the property, everything felt comfortable and well cared for, and the city and landscape views were beautiful. Our room was spacious, clean, and cozy, with a modern look mixed with local touches. The food was delicious, with fresh, flavorful Haitian and international dishes, and breakfast had plenty to choose from. The service was excellent too. My stay in Cap Haitien was unforgettable.

Such a beautiful setting, and the rooms look nice. But the shower was coming apart. The faucet was loose, turning the knob the wrong way shut the water off completely, the shower pole broke off, and the lights kept flickering.

Good service and a nice hotel in a great spot. I also liked learning that a company specializing in parasysmic structures built it. The rooms could use some basic conveniences, though, like a coffee maker, tea, and glasses. There wasn’t even a mat or towel to keep water from the shower off the floor.

The view from the hotel is excellent, but you’re stuck up the steep mountain unless you take a taxi to get anywhere. The restaurant was also missing almost half the food and drinks listed on the menu. I stayed five days, and things kept running out without being restocked. My AC leaked, and even after I reported it twice, they made only one attempt to fix it. It stayed broken, leaving me to walk around a puddle for about four days.
