We slept wonderfully, even on the pull-out sofa bed, at this comfortable, quiet hotel. Ipoly Residence is in the center of the charming little lakeside town of Balatonfüerd, with an easy walk to everywhere. The hotel is well run, with gracious staff and beautifully appointed rooms, in a large lakeshore residence that has been renovated beautifully. Our third-floor room had a big balcony where we could sit and take in a bird’s-eye view of the town.
I’m not sure what to make of this place. It was quiet, which is good if you’re looking to relax, but the staff weren’t very helpful. When we arrived, nobody explained anything about the hotel or the area, and we didn’t even know where the breakfast room was. The spa, beauty treatments, and tennis are all in another building, and they didn’t offer even half the treatments listed on the menu. I wasn’t happy with the stay.
The ad makes it look fancy, but staying there was rough. The room was dirty and worn out, and both the wellness area and reception were in another building. Picture heading over with wet hair in your winter coat. It felt more like a cheap motel.
The location is really good, and the service was polite and pleasant. My only reservation is whether the price matches what you get.
Traditional style with a fancy feel. I'd recommend it.
