The main issue was how we were received. I had booked the previous afternoon, spoken with them three times, received a confirmation text and said we'd arrive between 5 and 6 pm. At the property the gate was locked, and nobody came after I rang twice. I called, and someone opened it; on my second call, he didn't know who I was or why I was there. When I explained I'd rung twice, he said they were staying at the back, which wasn't something I needed to know. It took about fifteen minutes for him to let me in, and he still wasn't in the room. We didn't get the room we'd requested. The only saving grace was that we avoided sharing the bathroom and toilet because the other room was empty. The room was at least clean, but very retro: no chairs or tables, and synthetic bedding. We won't return, and I wouldn't recommend it.

A lovely setting, right by the boating lake and beach. It's centrally located but still peaceful. The apartment was immaculate and had everything we needed, and the host was exceptionally kind. We also had parking inside the closed yard. We were happy with everything.

The house, lounge, kitchen and surroundings are beautiful and thoughtfully put together, and the welcome was warm and friendly. But we had ordered a double room with its own bathroom and got two separate beds instead. There wasn't even a chair, so our clothes had to go on the floor. The toilet was in the hall and the separate bathroom had to be shared with other guests. This setup shouldn't be rented out this way, unless it's to friends or a larger family.

The location is great, and the owner is attentive and polite. The accommodation was clean and orderly. It's one of our favorite places to stay, and I can only recommend it.

Don't come knocking at 11 to tell me checkout was at 10 and that I have to pay extra. Typical Hungarian attitude.
