The room was a decent size and fairly clean, and the location was good. Breakfast was very basic, though: the hot food was always cold, and there were only a handful of tables. One morning we were told the house was full, so I wouldn't book breakfast here.

The staff knew the area well and were helpful whenever we had questions or needed directions. The hotel was clean and tidy, and its location worked really well for restaurants and local attractions. We enjoyed our stay overall. Our only small gripe was the room: it was tiny for a three-night visit, with hardly any space for our luggage. Reception said there wasn't a larger room available. I think the room would suit an overnight stay, but longer visits need more space.

The WiFi barely worked for most of our three-day stay, so I ended up paying for another eSIM. I also found similar complaints in other Google reviews. Guests staying more than one night don't get coffee capsules or water replenished. We were given those when we arrived, but when we asked at the desk the next day, we were told each capsule would cost 1 EURO. It didn't feel like repeat stays were welcome. Our first room smelled bad from the bathroom drain. When we told reception, the staff member didn't seem surprised and tried spraying air freshener. We said that wouldn't fix it, and he let us change rooms. The next room didn't smell, but the whole thing had already put us in a bad mood. I later saw similar reports about the smell in Google reviews, so I believe the hotel knows about the issue and still tries to sell those rooms.

The breakfast was very poor, with little choice and disappointing quality. On arrival, they also tried to put us in a smaller room with two separate beds, although we'd booked one large bed. Another staff member checked our reservation, confirmed we were right, and moved us to the room we'd booked. It felt as if they hoped we wouldn't notice the downgrade. The housekeeping and the way staff treated us were the worst parts. Our bedsheets were visibly dirty, but when we asked to have them changed, staff refused and handed us clean sheets to change ourselves. They said their policy was to replace sheets only every four days. One staff member asked whether we change our sheets every day at home, as if that explained the refusal. I told them that wasn't a respectful way to speak to a guest, and that what I do at home has nothing to do with the hotel's responsibilities. I work in hospitality myself, and that response was nowhere near a reasonable standard. We even saw a cleaner come into the room and leave the sheets as they were. When we asked again, they wouldn't change them until we took photos to prove they were dirty. Only then did they finally agree. Guests shouldn't have to argue and show evidence to get basic cleanliness. The receptionist who escorted us to the room was particularly unfriendly and dismissive, and several other staff members were rude and unhelpful too. I travel often and stay in hotels around the world. I know mistakes happen, and because I work in hospitality I usually try to be fair, even when I run into small problems. This stay was so disappointing and unprofessional that I feel I have to write about it. For a place claiming to be a four-star hotel, the experience was far below what guests should expect. Between the dirty bedding, the refusal to change it properly, the staff's attitude, the attempted room change, and the poor breakfast, this hotel failed at basic hospitality. I strongly wouldn't recommend it.
