Avenue Hostel

The staff are the best part for me. They’re so positive and kind that sometimes you almost wonder if they’re going to scam you 🤣, but they’re just genuinely helpful, even with all my ridiculous questions. I’m here for my sixth stay in four years and will definitely be back. The rooms are clean, breakfast is simple but enough, and the location is great: one stop past Opera hpuse and about a 15-minute walk to the center. There are also great transport links right outside to get around the city.

I had a room for four, so if you really want to be alone, ask for a single room or choose another hotel. The inside had a pretty great look, almost like being in a movie if you’re someone who cares about the feel of the place you stay on holiday. It was my first time here and I thought it was nice. The rooms were huge and clean, and so were the bathrooms. Staff were kind, breakfast was good enough for every diet, and the subway is nearby, as the map shows. I can’t say anything about room service or the roomkeepers.

We’d recommend the four-person room. The reservation includes breakfast, which is a nice extra for the price, and free luggage storage is available. Just bring your own towels and lockers. The hostel was clean and tidy, with a convenient location near the metro and trams.

The staff were amazing, and watching the Napoli Soccer match together was a lot of fun. The shared shower was clean and nice, and during my stay in Apr 2023 I didn’t come across bed bugs or dirty surroundings. It’s well located and affordable, a good choice for a few nights and especially for big groups wanting to stay in central Budapest.
