B3 Hostel Budapest

The location was great, and the beds and rooms were decent. The shared bathrooms were clean and fine for showers. I avoided the private bathroom attached to my room because it smelled bad and the floor was gross. I used the shared ones instead and had no issues.

We spent four nights here. The shared areas are roomy, so finding somewhere to sit was never a problem, and the staff were helpful. The beds were comfortable enough, too. Some rooms also have a great view, and the location is a big plus.

The bathrooms could use more attention. The showers seemed to go a while between cleanings, and they were dirty and smelled unpleasant; water was also left pooled across the floors. The bedrooms looked clean, though, and the beds were comfortable, but there’s no AC in them. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the big lounge and kitchen were nice to have. It’s easy to walk to Budapest’s main sights, and the metro is right nearby. I’d stay again if the bathrooms got a bit more care.

The hostel is in a great spot, and the place itself seemed fine at first, but the dirt was way beyond what I expect from a hostel. We found several bed bugs in our room. They weren’t able to move us, so we had to sleep there anyway. Many of the toilets had partly broken flushes, and it was common to come across dirty ones. The kitchen was messy and disorganized too. Save your money and look elsewhere.
