We had a lovely stay and I'd recommend this b&b for a few days in the city. It sits right in front of the fisherman’s bastion, yet the area is really quiet, and buses 16 and 216 get you to the city centre in about 10 minutes. Our room had a gorgeous view of the parliament. It's a family home, so expect a homely feel when you walk in, not somewhere fancy. Breakfast is simple, and eating in the kitchen beside the other guests can feel a little awkward at first, like being at home, but the owner helps everyone relax and it becomes fun and nice. I would have liked a bit more attention to cleaning in parts of the room, especially the bathroom.

It may work for some people, but it wasn't right for us. I booked based on the reviews, looked at the room for five minutes, then left and lost the one-night deposit. No disrespect to the owners, who I'm sure are great, and the price may make sense for what you get. Still, I see it as more suited to solo travelers or couples than families. The rooms are old, the toilets smell and don't have enough ventilation, and the location is up a steep hill rather than really central. You have to walk up and down or take a bus. I give it three stars, but people calling it the best place in Budapest should get out.

We booked this B&B on booking.com for a very reasonable price, and it turned out to be the best part of our Budapest trip. The breakfast was nice, and everyone was so warm and welcoming. It's close to Fisherman's Bastion, and the hotel had an awesome view. A heaven for tourists, honestly.

The owners and staff made us feel right at home. They were welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and our stay was really pleasant and relaxing. The rooms were comfortable and very nice, and breakfast had both sweet and savoury options, so there was something for everyone. For getting around, the place is well connected. Fishermen's Bastions is very close, and you can explore that part of the Buda Castle district on foot. A couple of hundred metres downhill, there are several buses that go to Pest.
